Pineapple Smoothy

The smell of a ripe pineapple is so pleasant. I buy them half ripe and by next morning I love to smell my kitchen with that fresh ripe smell. No wonder that this smell attracts snakes and they stay under those pineapple bushes in Kerala.

Fresh juice during summer is common in everyone's home. They are an easy method to make my little one and hubby have selective fruits. On a hot summer evening, you could skip your coffee for a day and try this cold pineapple smoothy.

How could I leave that last drop?

Pineapple - 2 cups (1 inch dized)
Water - 1/2 cup(cold)
Milk - 1/8 cup (cold)
Honey - 1-1/2 tablespoons or Sugar - 2 tablespoons(i used Honey)
Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Ginger - 1/2 inch sized piece
Salt - a small pinch

  • Add all the ingredients except water and run the mixer to paste pineapple and ginger without leaving chunks.
  • Add the water later and run again to make it a smooth pulp.
  • Honey and Ginger helps to reduce the strong taste of pineapple that makes your throat feel uncomfortable sometimes.
  • Serve cold with ice cubes.
